FILTERED
FILTERED is a European initiative that helps organisations work together to prevent major chronic diseases—such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Its main focus is on reducing three big risk factors:
• Alcohol consumption
• Tobacco use
• Unhealthy foods and drinks
The project brings civil-society groups together so they can learn from each other, collaborate, and advocate for healthier environments across Europe (including Ukraine). FILTERED encourages teamwork, shared knowledge, and joint actions so that changes can happen at national and European levels.
All activities follow the guidance of major European and international health strategies such as Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, the EU “Healthier Together” initiative, and WHO recommendations. The project also promotes public discussions, training opportunities, and high-impact events to strengthen prevention policies and protect people’s health.
How FILTERED connects with ELISAH, PEACHD, ShowUp4Health and JA PreventNCD
In short: FILTERED strengthens prevention by improving policies and collaboration, ShowUp4Health motivates citizens, ELISAH guides individuals digitally, PEACHD provides healthcare support, and JA PreventNCD ensures these actions contribute to a European-wide strategy—all working together to reduce chronic disease and promote healthier societies.
