The Consulate of Ukraine in Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Union of Greeks in Greece, has joined the information campaign as part of the international project ELISAH (European Linkage of Initiative from Science to Action in Health), which is implemented with the financial support of the EU4Health program of the European Union.

The goal of the project is to reduce the level of breast cancer incidence by increasing women's awareness of risk factors, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and using modern digital tools for prevention. Particular attention is paid within the project to women from vulnerable groups, including Ukrainian citizens who, due to the war, were forced to leave their homeland and live in European Union countries.

As part of the project, a free mobile application ELISAH has been created, which helps:

  • assess individual risk of developing breast cancer;
  • receive personalized recommendations on a healthy lifestyle;
  • learn more about risk factors and prevention methods for the disease;
  • join a large-scale European study, the results of which will contribute to the improvement of prevention programs and early detection of breast cancer.

 In order to inform Ukrainian citizens, an informational banner and informational materials with a call to install the ELISAH app and join the project have been placed in the premises of the Consulate of Ukraine in Thessaloniki.

We urge Ukrainian citizens living or temporarily staying in Greece to take advantage of the project's opportunities. Taking care of your own health, timely prevention, and early detection of diseases are important steps toward preserving life and health,.
