Work Package 2: Breast cancer impact, risk factors and prevention in European countries


Work package 2 provides a European-wide gap analysis of national cancer plans, breast cancer rates and risk factor distribution using JRC-ENCR databases.

More specifically, the work package's objectives are the following :

  • Describing the breast cancer’s impact in Europe, and highlighting the differences in order to measure the burden of cancer  and the problems that need to be addressed.
  • Mapping of breast cancer risk factors
  • Mapping national initiatives for breast cancer prevention
  • Data analysis and dissemination of results
