TEAM MEMBERS:
The Medical School of NKUAincludes a total of 86 University Medical Departments and Laboratories located in the campus at Goudi, in University Hospitals (Attikon, Laiko, Aretaieio, Aiginiteio) and in NHS Hospitals (Ippokrateio, Sotiria, Evangelismos, Alexandra, Agia Sophia, Aglaia Kyriakou, Genimatas, Sismanogleio, A. Syngros, KAT, Agia Olga), that provide daily, high quality health services in the Athens metropolitan area.
These Clinical Departments play a key role in medical education and clinical research. It should be also noted that the 40% of the medical requirements of the Public Health System(NSS) in the Attica basin (about 5,000,000 residents) is covered by the NKUA University Clinics.
The Medical School of NKUA has significative experience in Horizon and R&D projects and are directly engaged in startups. and in the development of innovative business models for healthcare. NKUA and its members will lead WP6 and actively collaborate with the interdisciplinary consortium in WP1, WP3, WP4, and WP7. NKUA and Medical School with the associated university clinics offer a wide range of oncological expertise and clinical data that they are relevant for the ELISAH project.
